Michael Hartley is the President of Swing State Strategies (S3), where he
utilizes his over two decades of political, policy/issue, public relations and corporate experience to work with clients on their public affairs, government relations, public relations and political strategy needs. Prior to founding S3, Hartley served as the Vice President of Government Relations for the Columbus Chamber of Commerce and spent over thirteen years developing a reputation as one of the best political operatives in Ohio, serving a leadership role in a number of high-profile campaigns and government offices.
Hartley received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Secondary Education from Baldwin-Wallace University. He lives in Circleville with his wife Samantha and two children, Xavier and Sofia.

Colton Henson has worked for well over a decade on political and public affairs efforts throughout the region. He has served in a variety of roles and is known for deep political relationships that help clients navigate political and regulatory challenges. Henson attended Ohio University and enjoys getting back to Athens to take in Bobcat football and basketball.

Nathan Wheeland is the Director of Public Affairs at our center-right Ohio firm, bringing nearly a decade of experience in amplifying client messages and advancing government affairs goals. Specializing in strategic media outreach, stakeholder engagement, and issue advocacy, Nathan has a proven track record of securing earned media coverage in top publications across the state. His expertise lies in shaping public narratives and ensuring that client voices are heard at key moments in the political landscape.

Tyler M. Duvelius is Vice President of Government & Corporate Affairs at Swing State Strategies. Prior to joining Swing State, Tyler worked as the Director of External Affairs for the Conservative Energy Network and as the Ohio State Director of the Christian Coalition.Tyler has spent his career working to educate conservative policymakers and grassroots activists at the local, state, and federal levels on various policy issues. He also carries Ohio political campaigns experience as well as experience in community and economic development. Tyler has previously served on the board of the Young Republican National Federation as Midwestern Regional Vice-Chairman and has served on the Ohio Young Republican board as Treasurer.
Tyler lives in Franklin County with his wife and daughter.
